Alexandria Glens junior B hockey team ends season on positive note despite missing playoffs
North Glengarry's EOJHL squad fell 3 points short of qualifying for post-season play
The Alexandria Glens of the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (junior B) wrapped up their 2023-24 season on February 19 with a 6-1 thrashing of their county rival, the Char-Lan Rebels. The result was a positive note to end the campaign that saw the Glens fall short of qualifying for the playoffs.

The Rebs scored their lone goal just past the midpoint of the contest. The Glens added another before the second intermission and then two more in the third to seal the win.
Connor MacDonald paced the Glens offence with two goals, including the game-winner. Also scoring for Alexandria were Callum Nystrom (who notched the first tally of the contest), Derek Larocque, Donovan Francis, and Ashtyn Nugent.
Picking up assists were Cedric Mailloux (2), Émil Lacroix, Benjamin Pilon, Noah Gibbons, Tyler Sauve, Nathan Landriault, Francis, and Larocque.
Hudson Mcdonald had the lone goal for Char-Lan, unassisted.
Goaltender Jordan Stairs backstopped the Alexandria win with 22 saves. Kolten Belmonte took the loss in the Rebels hemp hut, facing 33 shots on goal.
