There’s a new skating club in Cornwall: Skate Seaway. The club’s activities will be based at Cornwall’s multi-sport complex, AKA Benson Centre, and registration for the 2021-22 season is currently underway.

For all the details, check out the club’s website at https://skateseaway.wixsite.com/welcome/programs

Skaters nab silver in Quebec

August 7-8 was a historic weekend for Skate Seaway as the club took part in its first competition of the season, where Anthony MacDonald and his ice dance partner, Amélia Dufour-Saysourinho, skated to a silver medal finish at the Championnats québécois d'été (Pre-Novice Ice Dance) in Pierrefonds, Québec.

Club president Pina Gilmour tells me, “We can't wait to celebrate many more Skate Seaway skaters, and their skating achievements, in 2021-2022.”

In addition to their website, the club has a presence on Facebook and Instagram.
