The NCJHL (junior ‘C’) Vankleek Hill Cougars are getting ready for the 2022-23 hockey season and have announced their training camp, including exhibition games, beginning August 31 in Hawkesbury.
Athletes with birth years from 2002 through 2006 are welcome to try out. Participants at the camp will get three ice times and two exhibition games.

The VKH Cougars compete in the NCJHL, which includes the following teams: Almonte Inferno, Clarence Castors, Gatineau Hull-Volant, Metcalfe Jets, Morrisburg Lions, North Dundas Rockets, South Grenville Rangers, St-Isidore Eagles, and Westport Rideaus.
Golf tournament on September 17
The club is scheduled to host its annual golf tournament on September 17 in Hawkesbury, at La Cité Golf Course.
From the Cougars’ announcement… “As per usual, we will serve lunch, snacks, and drinks on the golf course. We will have games and great prizes to win as well. For the FIRST TIME EVER we will host an evening event which will include a delicious dinner by A Catered Affair, music, dancing, and more gifts + prizes to give away.”
The cost for the round of golf, use of a cart, and lunch is $110 per person. If you include the dinner, the price is $140 per person. Dinner only is $35 per person.
